1. Why do you enjoy representing school districts?

I love working with people who are excited about their jobs.  The individuals I work with at the school districts, at every level, are always passionate about what they do and invested in the education of their students.

2. Where did you get your education?

I attended Ocean View High School in the Huntington Beach Union High School District (go Seahawks!).  I then attended the University of Southern California for my undergraduate degree, followed Whittier Law School.

3. What is your favorite children's book?

Matilda by Roald Dahl.  There was something about a young girl who loved school and reading that really spoke to me.  I was lucky enough to see the musical in London a few years ago and it brought back such great memories of that book.

4. What are you currently reading?

I just started reading The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience by Hilary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton.  It's a great book that highlights a large number of extraordinary women in history.  The authors encourage the reader to do more research into each woman profiled if you want to learn more about them.  I love that because the authors don't want you to limit yourself to one perspective, but to go out there and learn on your own as well.

5. Favorite character/character you most relate to?

Nancy Drew!  She was an amazing detective who got to travel the world with her best friends solving mysteries!  What could be better?
