Alex Worthy is an associate attorney in the firm’s Southern California office. Ms. Worthy provides legal counsel and support to school district and community college clients regarding personnel matters, academic and workplace investigations, grievance handling, and student matters.
Ms. Worthy is a Certified Mediator and Academic Workplace Investigator focusing on discrimination, harassment, and Title IX matters. Prior to joining Parker & Covert, Ms. Worthy worked in both the large firm and public sector environments. She has experience in civil litigation defense, public entity defense, liability analysis, and risk management.
Ms. Worthy also worked as a Certified Mediator for the Riverside County Superior Court and the Riverside County Restorative Justice Program where she mediated a variety of student issues and Riverside County Probation matters. She has extensive experience mediating school district restraining orders, discrimination cases, general civil, and student-related matters.
Ms. Worthy graduated cum laude from law school with the highest grades in Mediation, Advanced Mediation Clinic, Contract Law, Property Law, Psychology of Conflict, and Wills & Trusts. During and after law school, she worked as an Academic and Post-Doctoral Fellow at Chapman University Fowler School of Law, for Contract Law, Constitutional Law, the Mediation Clinic, and the Juvenile Hall Conflict Resolution Clinic. Ms. Worthy also served as a member of the Executive Board for the Nexus Journal of Law and Policy where she published an article on sexual assault and harassment.
