We invite you to join the attorneys of Parker & Covert LLP next week at the 2022 California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) Annual Conference!  After several years absence, the CASBO Conference will return to the newly renovated Sacramento Convention Center.

Attorney Addison Covert along with Lettie Boggs, CEO of COLBI and Sara Slater, Assistant Director, Fiscal Services, Long Beach Unified School District will be participating in a discussion on applying for and receiving funding from the federal government's ESSER program as well as other funding vehicles for facility construction and enhancement. The conversation will include the use of these funds, what other school districts are doing, as well as methods to avoid pitfalls in the state and federal audit process. The workshop will also be reviewing those subject areas school districts can expect to be included in an audit along with the best process to be prepared for responding to an audit. Expenditure requirements and the deadlines for completing expenditures will also be discussed. The workshop will be presented in a panel format.  Audience participation is strongly encouraged.
